Filipino Graduates: Prepared to Lead with Competence and Character

Celebrations filled the air last Friday, March 27, 2026, as our little learners reached a meaningful milestone in their young lives. Parents, families, and guests gathered for the MABADAN Moving Up Ceremony of 30 children from our community as they received their certificates for successfully completing the Special Non-Formal Education in Nursery Level.

The program opened with inspiring remarks from Fr. Jude Genovia, SSC, Parish Priest, and featured a heartfelt performance of “Yesterday’s Dream” that touched everyone. Pride, joy, and excitement were evident on the faces of the parents and guardians shown through smiles, applause, and even tears. Guided by Teacher Lilibeth Dela Cruz, the children not only learned but also grew in confidence and character. Teacher Beth encouraged them to continue studying, grow in wisdom, and pursue their big dreams.

Malate Balik Dangal (MABADAN) is a pre-school program that aims to provide affordable education, originally for street children and now extended for the urban community. It seeks to give them the opportunity towards a better future. This initiative continues through its partnership with the Open Heart Foundation, and with support of dedicated volunteers of Area Council.
